What is my Walker worth?

I have a 2008 Walker MTGHS 48", 23 hp with only 91 hrs. Excellent condition. I am a teacher and have been mowing for 16 yrs and I am tired. Gonna try just mowing a few lawns now and dont need the big equip. I love the mower but need to sell it. I payed $10850 with tax for the mower and also bought a 42" mulching deck for $1650 and the dump bins that go in the hopper for $275. So with tax I have $12930 invested. What is everything worth and should I sell everything together or divide it up. Your opinion is greatly appreciated especially if you have or have sold a walker before. Thanks

Put it up on eBay with a reserve that's reasonable & your not going to get back what you paid either, you know that!

It's the end of the season too, which doesn't help. Spring time it's a different story!

Try checking with the dealer you bought it from, he might want to buy it back if you don't want to go through the hassles of selling it yourself.

Try putting it up on the classifieds on this site!

If you break the pieces up let me know what you want for the mulching deck. Might check with Jeff over at Pioneer equipment and see if he would sell it for you (like a consignment). End of year is a bad time to sell. I'd wait until spring and find some youngster who thinks their going to be a millionare starting a lawn co.

I have bought and sold a few walkers over the years. Yours sounds like an excellent find. I believe in this area the same model you are selling is around 11K. Last year I had a price for the same model in 2008 for 10K. My estimate is that you should be able to get $8500 to sell just the mower. I would sell the other items sep. If possible wait to Spring. Ebay is good but the fees will kill you. Try Craigs list. Not as much exposure but it only takes one person. I am also I teacher and mow for a second income. Yes tired. Especially this time of year. Looking forward to December. Good Luck.
