wow never heard of them doing this. They make plenty though. They're probably paying $2/bale. it's crap pine straw and it isn't long leaf, so it's the crap of crap. The mexicans ride around here selling it for $3/bale $5/installed. I pay a premium but I know the person I buy from is a nice guy, will always be there, gets a good product and also stands behind it. He pays taxes too just like everyone else.

Brick One-

I agree with the quality issue they have. Good to stick with what you know is good.

Thats about what I pay for good quality long leaf extra clean and a really big bale this year.

This year I also did something new and switched to round bales. 3.5 times the size. Alot heavier to carry but you have to make alot less trips especially when working in back yards.

That stuff at lowes and home depot is about the worst straw I have ever seen and usually several months old. It isnt flexible like fresh long leaf and leaves so much dust you will be dead in 5 yrs.

Clients may also fail to see it takes 2 of thoes cheap dry bales to cover as much as a one of our fresh long leaf bales so it actually costs them more.

Billy-

It is tough to educate the client sometimes, but you are right on about the value of the bales you use. We love the color of the long leaf and worked hard to match it with our top spary colorant.

Try to use more appropriate wording. That sounds like a derogatory comment.
I myself am half Hispanic.
Thank you

Are you serious dude? You are taking offense to a perfectly valid way of referring to peoples from Mexico (also known as a demonym)? Should people from Japan take offense when referred to as Japanese, or people from the United States as Americans?

Many illegal immigrants from south america are not from Mexico, and are offended by being refered to as Mexican. They'll accept being refered to as Hispanic. Of course, I don't care if I do offend people.

Maybe we can figure a way to cut everything south of the U.S. loose...and let it float away.
