I don't need no steenkin' gate assist...

Actually mine is a split gate (pequea) and very heavy duty. I prefer it over the full width gate...

I don't have one either. That's why my biceps are huge. Just kidding, I might get one for my new trailer that I am getting in the spring so that the mow crew won't have to kill their backs.

I've got two pequea trailers, both with the split gates. One has the lift assist springs, one doesn't. Guess which trailer I hate???

I bought the Rack Em Double barrel and Its the best $139 I have ever spent, I have 2 blown disks in my lower back and without the assist I doubt I could make it through the day.

Gate assists are one of those things that you don't really understand the value until you have one. They are basically preventative maint. for your back...Don't squawk over $200 either. Go to the bone crusher doc once and see what your bill is.
