Looking at a compact utility tractor. Seems to be coming around to New Holland, 33 hp, hydro drive. Does anyone have any tales to tell? I'm not all that big on New Holland, but between features, price and financing they seem to have the most going for them.
What kind of money are they asking for the 33 HP? I was looking at a 30 HP diesel 4 wheel drive at JD for $10,995, but it is a gear drive. Add $1700 for hydro. Included rear pto and 3 point hitch. <p>----------<br><a href="http://pages.prodigy.net/eric.erickson/">Eric@ELM</a><br>
That 10995 seems cheap for a tractor with over 30hp. Is that right? I thought that was what a 20hp went for. Is that the base price or is that the 4wd price? <p>steveair
JD had an ad in one of the lawn magazines with the prices. It is a 4 wheel drive and I think the model number is 970. They also have a 20 HP 4100 base price of about the same, USA built. Looked at J.D. tractors this year Model 4700 47HP tractors 4wd, hyd shuttle shift and aux. hyd. ran $25,000, New Holland TC45 with same options ran $23,000 plus 0.9% financing help us switch to it, J.D. was 8%.<br>Are New Hollands any good, We have a 1985 Ford/New Holland still running with no problems has over 5000 hrs on it. <p>----------<br>paul<br>
The guy who does the grunt work for me, just purchased a New Holland 1928(?) 4WD shuttle shift, mid-and rear pto, front bucket, Woods backhoe attachment, tandem axle trailer, calcium filled tires, all included out the door for 28,000 from a dealer in Mass. He loves it, originally planned to ghet a skid-steer, though the bucket he has is more suited for light material loading than excavating, which is what he was using it for.<p>Only thing I see that was odd was there was a block of wood hanging from a lanyard underneath, you are supposed to insert this somewhere when you store it for more than 30 days. seemed kinda lame.<p>Bill
we have the boomer with the 33hp. we like it alot, keep buying attachments for it. we also have a bobcat 773. they are a good combination. we have a power rake,post hole digger,fert spreader,mulch bucket, york rake, for the boomer. you can do alot of work without ripping up the turf. we have the turf tires. our dealer is right next door. and the price was around 20 with the bucket.
