hi ,
597 2007
To be specific / 3x back idlers no more than 300 hr life, noisey and large amount of movement etc
/ jack shaft pulley bearings 500 hr life , noisey etc
Has there been any upgrades to bearings/ pulley to increase life span

It appears that the mower you questions pertain to is the Z Master Z597 Daihatsu diesel. If correct, there haven’t been any changes made to the idlers or main deck pulley on that model. However, the deck drive system is completely different on the Z Master Z580 Series Kubota diesel and all of our Z Master gas powered models.

Regarding the idler/pulley life and noise, we have found that if a mower is routinely exposed to moisture (washing with hose or pressure washer, regular rainfall, etc.) while the bearings are still warm, moisture can be drawn in past the seals and accelerate bearing deterioration. If you have bearings that are noisy and failing prematurely, moisture is likely a contributing factor.

Yes z master 597
Firstly as this is not the only mower i own i am aware that being to keen when washing down will promote bearing problems
I suspect it is the conditions that machine is operated
dry and dusty 4mths
very very high moisture content in grass 4mths of year
Combine the above and bearings are not running in ideal conditions
Washing down happens around every 2--4 mths

Interestingly the mule drive idlers located at rear of machine no problem
