Employee Fees, Hourly Rate

I'm about ready to get my first employee. How much should I pay him per hour? He will most likely be a Mexican guy with little-medium experience.

I'm thinking $10/hour.

Should the price go up if he does it by himself? Ie. I get injured and use him as my back up. He drives my lawn truck and does it solo.

If he is a good employee 10-15/hour seems to be the going rate.
When I say good employee, I mean shows up on time and does his job. Not necessarily experience.

Not sure on the second part...
