Didn't see your post until today, I hope you do well.

I went out today, 2 rat Reds no slots, several Trout. Had a blast, it was a beautiful day to be on the water.

Last October me and my uncle each caught a little Northern out it Bay City, MI.

The left one is mine; 22" The right one is my uncle's; 20"

These little guys are about the best we did in '09 lol

This year will be lot better though. For one my uncle might be getting a boat. And I'm going to a Walleye festival next weekend, might catch some nice 'eyes. I'll be sure to get some pics and maybe even video

Ok, here are those Pike,

A rat Red is a Red under 20", 20-28" slot Red, and over 28" Bull Red.

The slot and Bull makes sense but I never have understood rat.

A Speckled Trout must be at least 15", under 15" and it's called a dink. I don't know why but that's what they are called.

Btw, those are Tx. limits. In Louisiana, which is a few minutes from my hose, the limit on Reds is 16", I forget the upper slot. Also, in La you can keep 5 Reds in Tx. 3.
