I throw on a set of tyvex coveralls for weedeating, it keeps you covered and no turf shin. Mabye you are confused, I put them OVER my clothes. What are you going to say next, no gloves?

It really gets hot here, so yes I take the time to change into my bibs to do trimming. Most of my accounts are in clusters so its not 7-10 time a day. I buy them really big so they are just hanging on me and the legs cover my shoes for the most part.
