John Deere LX 176

How would this tractor hold up in a small mowing business? I know it's not a commercial model or anything, but I'm just starting out and won't have a ton of accounts for a while. The best thing about the tractor is that I already own it!

Thanks for any opinions,

Joel B.

Joel,
I have used a J.D. Lx172 for 3 years and have had great luck with it. you should invest in a mulching kit and a second set of mulching blades. I sharpen and change my blades at least once sometimes twice a week. I mow 20 of my 25 lawns with this unit.

i have a lx 176. I have about 25 customers. My little brother also cuts with it and he has 15 or so customers. I mainly use a Walker know, but it is still his main mower. Makes a nice cut. But, like all mowers, regular maintenance is a must or you will get worse and worse cuts.
