Unless this company offshored its factories in the last few years, this one supposedly makes chain in America:
Laclede Chain Company, Maryville, Missouri http://www.autohaulersupply.com/inde..._detail&p=5341 Not sure who manufactures this suppliers chain but it too is made in USA: http://www.cmforge.com/load_secureme...product_id=587 Columbus McKinnon forges and assembles some of their ratchet binders in America, too. http://www.uscargocontrol.com/ratche...ach-p-475.html Some of McKinnon's binders are imports (the cheap ones) so beware: https://www.hardwareworld.com/Ratche...r-pTVE2CC.aspx |

Thats why you let your chain get all rusty. Nobody will steal an old rusty chain.

Chinese made chain has too much Kia, Daewoo and Hyundai in it to trust, buy some Canadian or American steel chain.

Also any chains for the trailer stay with the trailer they don't get used for other uses like pulling something out of the bush or mud etc. They never end up back on the trailer and when it comes time to move your machine the chains are not there. |

Ever heard of gloves? Then they are no longer miserable to work with! And I dont know about you, but the chains at work always ended up back where they came from? Of course I guess you have to be a responsible person for that to happen.. and we were working on the badside of downtown, this was with that excavation comapny. Doing an enviromental clean up, connecting all the wells together at this gas station. Well after having a couple shovels stolen we started taking everything but the trailer and mini ex back to the shop. Well when we finished up went to load up the trackhoe and our 2 new chains were gone on the unlocked chain box. The old rusty chains were still there..

just a quick update.
i checked out the grade 80 from awdirect and it was like $105 for 3/8" x 20' with a 7700wll so i went back to uscargo control and looked at their grade 70 1/2" x 20' and it was only $75 with 11,300wll so i got more bang for the buck by going with the 1/2" chain from uscargo control. they had a 2 pack deal for 1/2"-5/8" ratchet binder with 13,000wll for only $36 a piece so total came to $217 shipped for the 2 chains and 2 binders.
