What do you do?
Just reading a lot of threads and man people have all sorts of ways to charge things. Just on the landscaping and landscape maintenance side of the business what method do you use the most? I prefer the first as it seems more efficient and less screw ups on pricing. I feel you could get burned more doing the second type of pricing.
Man Hours + Materials(with markup) +%profit = job price or A method using a price per a material (mulch, sod, stone), doubling materials, etc... Just kind of curious of the responses. And it seems I read more of the second type of pricing. |

personally i figure in my hourly rate then materials/mark up/ and then round it off to a figure that sounds reasonable.... for example 3hrs+50$ materials=155$ then i round it to 200$ it usually helps me win bids and keeps my wallet happy
