Looks Like a great aerator..........
Have never seen a design like this before on a wheel type ! !
http://www.countrylawn-garden.com/lawnaerator.htm THEY SAY.... because the tines pivot when they pull out they do not elongate the holes. Seems to be a great idea. They make these themselves, and looks to be of good quality. They make one for a Z turn with front mount, but thats looks a little bogus. Anyone here ever used one? This is the one for Z turn. http://www.countryztr.com/lawnaerators.htm Last edited by Lawn Pawn; 02-25-2010 at 04:20 PM. |

hey lawn pawn
I am new to this site and have been out of lawn care for 3 years but will be getting back into this spring. years ago i learned lawn care from a guy who used this very same setup. it is affordable and mobile, but the problem is the lack of weight on it. you would basically used cinder blocks to weight it down, but if you get a tough yard it may not penetrate. I remember having to stand on top of the blocks for a few yards! |

This is suited to the homeowner! It wouldn't last the day under commercial duty.

+4, had one very similar to the first link, lasted until lunch before it literally started to fall apart. I should have known there was a reason this was $300 and Lesco/JDL tow behinds are $1500.

Well..... common sense did prevail..... Thanks for the feedback!
I ordered this one http://www.wikco.biz/PlugAerator.htm #300. With free shipping off ebay. They said they would only prime it for me as I HATE the blue. Plus I plan to make some modifications soon as I get it, then repaint any way. I will post photos when this project is finished. |
