Need help in a hurry!
I have a chance to buy a Scag Wildcat 61inch velocity deck with a 27hp kohler brand new no hours for 5600.00 . Is this a good mower for warm season grass? It looks stout like my kubotas ? But no one in my areas use them. I'm going to look at it tommarrow. Help .

Scag is probably the best mower you can buy. Exmark/Toro is second. That sounds like a really good deal.

buy it. thats a great deal they are usually around 7500 to 8500. i own two scags and they are excellent mowers. i also have two exmarks witch are great mowers. i dont know about the kohler engine i have all kawasaki engines. is their a warranty on this mower?

I'm thinking there should be a warrantee its new but its a private seller. I'm going to get it in the Am. I found the ad on craigslist and have talked to the guy on the phone. You guys don't think its hot do you? How can I check?

Ask the seller a lot of questions, where he got it, what he was going to use it for etc. If its hot, you'll know it. Ask to see the manuals. If he aint got them, its a potential sign somethings fishy.
 Overall its a great deal. It could be just that he bought it and discovered this wasnt the right machine for his application.

yes i wonder though why he is willing to take such a loss on a brand new mower? do as integrity says and if he has manuals and such for it i guess there really is no way of knowing whether it is hot though. but again smoking deal no pun intended
