Curved or straight shaft on trimmer

Am curious to hear what everyone has to say about buying a gas trimmer with a curved shaft or a straight shaft. I am leaning towards the curved shaft as I understand it's easier on the back, but would like to hear what some of the users on this forum have found works best for them and why.

not even a close call...Straight all the way and 90% of others i believe will back me up on that!

I have had both, I thought I wouldn't like the stand off distance of the straight shaft. But I love it. And the trimmer I use has a solid steel drive shaft. Not a flimsy speedo cable like a curved shaft.
