We normally edge every 2-3 weeks. We use the walk-behind edger for the first time of the year on most, then stick edger. Keep it done, it only takes a second.

2-3 times in the season, usually the trimmer keeps it clean, but when it looks a little rough, time to clean it up with the stick edger.
