Weights for front of eXmark?

You know those weights that go on top of the front wheels (bolts to the frame I guess, above the front wheels)?...about how much are those and what do they weigh each?

I think I need to get a set. I've got a few places I tend to pop the front end up. Not really places I'm mowing (well, maybe once in awhile) but places I drive through now and then. The Lazer Z (previous style, not new style) with 52" deck is pulling a wheelie now and then. I hate to make this thing even heavier than it already is, but I think it would be best if I did.

I'll have to weigh (or look) and see how much mine weigh. They ain't exactly lightweight for sure.

I just weighed mind and they weigh 45 pounds apiece. Not sure if they are all the same weight though being my mower is a hp.

Lotsagrass, that I don't know being I purchased the mower used with the bagger and weights already on it for one price. I'm sure that one of our members will give us a quick answer though!

No problem. Thanks. 45 lbs each would probably be plenty for my purpose. Either that or I can strap my wife to the front of it :-)

I don't remember what they were, but I can assure you that they aren't 45# apiece. I seen some people make their own by pieces of flat stock layed across the front caster arms and bolted down with square U bolts, or brackets made from small pieces of flat stock and bolts ran through drilled holes. Much cheaper than the factory stuff.

Runner, I weighed them twice as I could not belive it either but that is what the scales showed.

I see people with weights on their exmarks all the time and never quite figured out why. I have the Lazer Z HP with the 52 inch deck and bagger and I've never run them. Yah, if I've got the bags and hopper filled to the top with wet grass the front end gets a bit light, but the frame hits if it does wheelie a little, not like it's gonna flip over...I do have the tow hitch on which makes it hit a little sooner. I've never felt the need for them though.
