Help with Commercial bid

I have a commercial bid to submit next week. I have my prices for the mowing, but what is throwing me is that they want their sidewalks powerwashed 2 times a year and all the landscaping beds remulched and the old mulch removed.

There is 8435 sq ft. of sidewalk to be powerwashed. I was figuring .12 to .15 per sq. ft.??

There is 4014 sq. ft. of beds to be mulched. Usually I get the dyed mulch (which is what they have now) for $32/yard. I charge $80 yard for mulch and labor. I am thinking to remove the mulch another $20-$30 per yard.

What are some more thoughts on this.

Sounds close. How long is the walkway without having to do the math? The mulch sounds right. Maybe a little more on the removal as you'll have dump fees most likely.

There are several sidewalks on different properties. Total square ft. is 8435.
Water hook-ups are available on site.

umm.. why are you removing mulch, and not just top coating it? If mulch is used correctly is really never needs to be removed.

I agree but if the customer wants it gone and he's making money doing so then I'd be getting rid of it.

Sorry I thought that I replied last night. Must not have worked.

I would break down all your costs with markup, then figure your labor/profit, and delivery for mulch. Reason being, sometimes you can spread .5yds per hour and others more like 2. You will be more accurate bidding if you do it this way. Also, removing mulch is probably a bigger pain than installing it. Make sure you include a figure to dispose of it. I think you are close, but try breaking it down to make sure you are covering yourself and bidding accurately.

Not sure what to tell you about the pressure washing. I don't do that.
