ERROR Message

I have written out several informative and rather LENGTHY posts on many different forums, and have a page pop up to receive the following message. When I hit the back button, of course, MY post message is gone! I don't mind SPENDING some time to help some others...But I am NOT going to be WASTING my time getting nonsense error pages that erase all the effort I put into the typing....This is getting REAL old - FAST!

I'm getting it, too...
Oddly enough backspacing reloads my post.

But one solution of old I used to do...
Is before clicking "Submit Reply..."
Press Ctrl+a and Ctrl+c
This copies the contents of your post into your clipboard.
But to make sure I usually press Ctrl+c several times

Now if it messes up on you, open a new post and press Ctrl+V
That dumps the contents of your clipboard.
Then click Submit Reply again.

unfortunately, if you do take too long when responding to a post then you can, in fact, be timed out

not sure what browser you are using, but in Firefox, you are able to hit the back button and your text should still be there

not really about error messages, but when is the survey that greys out the screen going to go away. I can't tel you how many times I've filled that out...

what triggers that or what can I do to make it go away...

If you fill it out, or choose "not at this time" then you should not receive the message again...however, if you "clear your cookies" then it will continue to appear.

I'll bet the work computer periodically deletes the cookies..and I'll have to check the home unit to see what its setting are.. Thanks mike

Happened to me a couple times. ADD kicks in and before i realize it i'm scanning craigslist for free manure, havin a butt and shootin my girlfriend a text message. Had to get myself in the habit of highlighting what ever i'm working on and right clicking copy, before i send out reply. It would be nice if the idle clock could be stretched out a couple more minutes. I read alot of posts on lawnsite, those long ones are definitely appreciated.
