Washington Association of Landscape Professionals meeting

I attended my first W.A.L.P(Wasington Association of Landscape Professionals) meeting tonight. Wanted to go to see what they were all about. They talked about upcoming events and the CLT program. They showed slides on the different aspects of Lndscaping like Installs, Maint. and, Irrigation. Have any of you heard of or already have this certification? They said 28 states are now offering this program. The cost is around $350 for non-members of WALP. For members it's only $250.

Was nice to mingle and talk to owners about the industry and other things as well. Is there an advantage to belonging to an association like this? I would love to chat with the owners of the large companies about their business seeming how they are where I want to be. Your thoughts....
