i think it is clean, but bland. dont take offense, it is just super basic and not too well representative of your work. i feel a site should showcase your work and you, maybe a consideration. i like how you advertise walkbehinds only, i used to work that way untill they proved too cumbersome. but it can really sell in a market that has many guys on ztrs tearing up lawns by using mower that does not fit the area it is used on, so good looking out for that niche! maybe bank on that more and have a paragraph why you feel it is important you use the tools you do to get the results you do, inform petential clients on your particular angle on that

Bit heavy on the overhead and I would move the menu to the far left
instead of alongside the top so it won't scroll off screen... That is, it's
coming in too wide on my 1152 x 864 resolution and it would seem no
matter what you do it's going to do that anytime someone doesn't have
their screen settings to the just perfect resolution...
Moving the menu to the far left (scrolling down) would likely resolve this.

Other than that I prefer the simplicity, gives it a nice, clean look.

Peace

Cool site, was wondering how did you manage to get that quote online to work? Like I mean the form where you fill out the info and then click submit? Wondering how you did it, I have trouble with my site.

Not bad but I can tell you built it yourself. Not to be crappy but I am wondering why not pay someone to do this who is a pro? Or, trade out services. It would turn out even better than it is now. I guess I already know the answer to this and that is money and you probably had some time to do it.

This is a general statement not directed at you or your site: It is very interesting to me that we are in a professional service industry but avoid using other professional service industries thinking we can do it just as well but we really can't. What if our clients thought that way? We wouldn't have any! To me not using a pro is essentially the same thing as low-balling. It compares because doing it ourselves takes a job away from a pro. They don't get a job and the end user ends up with a product that is not as good as it could be. The site owner ends up with a site that does not deliver as much business as it could. Enough of the rant...

The site really is pretty good looking for doing it yourself, I am not knocking your work. I agree with all of the edits above and you need to add more content. The "We Use Walk-Behinds" is a good selling point but as it is right now it is not expanded enough. When you have a point like that you know what it means but the general public does not know why it is important. To them it is a who cares sort of thing. Whenever possible when coming up with marketing points ask yourself "so what?" We use walk behinds. So what? The answers become your bullet points to support the point and then go on your site. Then ask yourself does this point/bullets really matter to the client and make me different? Etc, etc. If you can find a couple points like that, highlight them on the home page you are likely to get business from your site or at least "check out ok" when someone verifies you are a viable source. The way the site is now it would not verify to me that you are a viable source. Keep working on it, you are not that far off.

Have a great season!
