I do Six Applications, that include weed control, insect control, and inspections. So I will ask again. How much does a fifty pound bag of this stuff cost to get it delivered to my shop floor? And also.....how many thousand sq ft does a fifty pound bag cover? |

Also.....what are the results with this product in sandy soil with irrigation or heavy rainfall?
How does this product stay available to the root zone for 9 months. Does it lock up in the soil or does it take nine months to break down. |

Seed, why so negitive toward this product?? It could be really great for our industry, i'd use it this year if it wasnt for the fact that i pre-paid all my chems. for this year. But you do pose a good question, what does it cost per K?

$6-7.75 per k.. But we charge 80% of 5 full fertilizer applications.. We are not using it on our normal accounts. Great for commercial and those who take an application here or there..

i was quoted anywhere from 35-45 bucks per bag depending on volume of buying, so it is negotiable as i understand. a 50lb bag covers approx 6250 ft sq. this is a 8lb rate.

So at 45 a bag with 6000 sq ft coverage it's 8 times as expensive as standard product.
My fert cost's are 1.00 per thousand. Sometimes less. |

The savings is in labor...

wow seedpro, either you buy in very large quatity or you use some really cheap crap fert for $1 per K. bustin ya, but at best my fert cost per K is $1.44 for the mesa blends with root enhancers.
in reality though, any decent quantity of one ap ordered would result in nearer the $35 per bag cost i think, still a shock i admit, but it has to be figured in over the cost of a year for fert and labor to see anything in savings, not to mention and forget the better growth pattern you will get which matters a huge amount to someone like me who is full maint and has to mow after my own fert. of course, the more fert apps you do, the better savings etc there is to be had. we do a 6 fert app program on most places

Does one ap control weeds? Insects? Disease? Do Inspections?
Unless you're a contractor that's just applying fertilizer and not doing pesticides I don't see the big savings in time or labor. Now if insects, weeds or disease's are of no concern or you don't do that I can see the benefit of only applying one time. |
