Who is the best supplier/dealer for herbicide and fertilizer? MN
Hey I'm just getting into the fertilizing/ pesticide side of the green industry, and am looking for advice on which supplier is the best? I've heard good things about John Deere Landscapes/ Lesco, but am looking for as many opinions as I can. I am located in central MN, not too far from St. Cloud or Minneapolis.

You will have to get licensed. JDL is good. Fertimix has junky quality. Agruim, Zimco, & Van Diest are great.

Check out Reinder's. Represents many different Fert/Chem companies. Very competitive prices.

They have by far more issues with product being dusty, clumpy, dirty (floor sweepings in the bag etc..) than any other blender around. It's not 100% of the time, but it can be a roll of the dice.
Also the fact that they've been busted for not properly registering the "custom blends" they put out to LCO's. By MN regulations a "custom blend" does not need to be registered with the state as long as they're using registered raw materials and the blend goes directly to the END USER... golf courses, municipalities, etc. If an LCO wants a custom blend there must be a registration paid to the state, along with a sample submitted for arsenic testing... Fertimix has been busted for not doing this properly and they continue to do so. I don't have a lot of respect for their business. |

Fertimix had way more junk in the fert. Fiberglass pieces, corn, scu in the bags you put in your tank mix. More dust than others. Just poor quality.
