Mods to a 272C with Mulcher

Check out the appearance pictures of what was done to the rear door of this C series. Kinda interesting. I am guessing it was getting hot by looking at the condition of the emissions sticker on the engine. The fan motor is leaking as well. Interesting idea on the venting. Must have been tough to put a torch to a new machine though.

Cat actually has a vented (mesh) rear door. I think that's the door but with some reinforcements around the mesh.

That looks more to me like a County Fair white ribbon kinda wielding job to me.

Looks like a lot of metal floating around in the engine by the oil sample report!

that looks cheesy. It isn't for heat build up but rather it's for breathing. CAT had too much debris being pulled in from the front and sides when mulching. With the rear door perforated, it can pull somewhat cleaner air through the rear.

It should be made of perforated plate. That material didn't look as stout as what my 272c had.
