Crane mount for 14k dump trailer?
Anyone know if this is possible? I'd like to be able to unload skids off my trailer with some sort of crane, but don't know if I'm thinking crazy thoughts. 2000lbs lift would be ideal..

Try Harbor Freight... Or I may be way off.

How much do you want to spend ?
There are a few different options like those little hydraulic booms you see on mechanics trucks they will lift 2000lbs the most common manufacturer is Autocrane. You even could try find a used service truck around and take the crane off of it. Today I seen what your after it was a tandem axle flatdeck trailer with a autocrane mounted on it. It belongs to BC Hydro and they use it for lifting transformers etc off the trailer onto the ground. There are other options like a little knuckle boom you see them a lot in Alberta mounted on 1-1.5-2 ton trucks. Search around you will find something. |
