I changed out my air filter this Spring on my 440 which does all the rock raking (very dusty), I got 500 hours out of the filter I just replaced. The aspirator is that effective.

That's some good mileage. I've got almost three hundred hours now on this machine and I have had to change the airfilter three times and those things aren't cheap.

Yes, but the main air flow was from the outer filter, when that plugged, the inner filter just recirculated air.

I hope it works. Makes me wonder what even possessed them to put the cab filter right over the tracks and tires (conveyor belt anyone?) and right in front of the intake area for the engine

He took a good bit of grief over that when he did it. Short story is the visibility looking through the screen was an irritant. Working in the open on a motocross track with few cacti large enough to cause issues he opted for the sawzaw.

Doing anything else with the machine (working in trees or in demo) probably would be a very bad idea, given what he does with it, probably not so bad. Might be a bit expensive when trading in, but who knows.
