It sucks the dirt out of the air filter is the short story. On mine, in heavy dust conditions the inside of the exhaust pipe looks like its been sandblasted.

Thanks KSSS, that's about it in a nutshell.

Your right about the trade-in, Case wanted to knock 5 grand off the 450ct trade-in when they qouted that series 3 450. But I got lucky with Cat and they didn't even notice the cage was cut out when I traded for the 297.

I'm so in love with this machine I can't see ever trading it in. By the time I have enough hrs on it to get rid of it I'll probably be too old to care what its worth.
