Perma Green Ultra no spark

Got a quick question for you guys. I am fixing up an Ultra and the machine was running great. After I made all the repairs I cleaned it with water and it started after that and bogged down.

Now I am getting no spark from the plug. I have removed the kill switch from the magneto and a volt meter still shows voltage going to the plug, but no spark.

Have any of you guys had issues with the ultra after cleaning or heavy rain, if so, what did you do to fix it. Has anyone bought a new magneto ignition coil and how much do they cost? Thanks!

just let it dry out, and try again

ive used my bp blower and ran it for like 5 min
blowing up under the motor and down thru the top
and it worked

that happened to me all the time cleaning my ultra,
but would do it sometimes cleaning some other small
equipment as well

Yeah. Jbturf is right. My Ultra was always sensitve to rain or washing with water. Let it dry out and it will be fine. Meanwhile--put a dry paper towel between the spark plug wire and the block to reduce the chances the wire is shorting out to nearest cooling fins.
Also I found the plugs on the older motors fouled out in a couple months. Put in a new spark plug--and check and replace plug, if needed, about 3 times per year.

Thanks guys! It has been drying out for 24 hours and I will try restarting it tomorrow. I tried wrapping the existing wire with electrical tape. I am hoping if there is a short, that will stop it.
