Hehe yep, I will never be without at least one walk behind.

Day is over and I can say that I am glad I bought this machine. I still think exmark should have done something other than copy the Grandstand, because there are improvements that could be made. But, still a worthwhile purchase. Quite a bit faster than the TTHP in some areas. Gotta really be careful with the extra weight and wide tires, it likes to tear/rut but that's an operator thing.

I can't attach my grass catcher without removing the discharge chute. Come on guys, my F year old nephew could have seen the need to mount the battery in a different position...

The included training DVD is a nice addition to the manual.

Yeah when I saw the you tube video on the vantage I wondered what was up with the plastic deflector. So the battery keeps it from flipping back. Exmark has always used metal. Maybe the next years model will address some of this. Also i think they need to use the ecs system on it. Others have commented on the lack of anti scalp rollers. I think they are not included cause the vantage is more like a fixed deck that is easily adjusted compared to the turf tracer with the hanging pins.

Ok I have around 9 hours on the machine now. The verdict is that its a worthwhile purchase. Does it replace a WB no, but maybe its unreasonable to expect that. In any case, its cut quite a bit of time off my residentials. I haven't been able to bog it down even in some tall first-mow grass. There is great power.

I'm happy

Thanks for the balanced review. Grandstand owners have said many of the same things. They also said they were able to do steeper and steeper hills as time went on. Please keep us posted as you spend more time with the unit.

To heavy and to long of a wheelbase , leaves tracks and does a lousy job of following the contour. This is not the machine for small residential yards. I have seen a contractor throw his new Toro stander on two of his yards, guess what, they both are now getting mowed with 21" walks. Mower manufacturers are clueless, so clueless I had to build my own machine for that application. I am knocking off 10 minutes on almost every lawn I mow and the 42" finish cut is smoother than a 21" and better than any mower I have ever used, including my walkers.

Could you post pictures of your machine? Thanks!
