Mowing after the Rain

We are getting hammered down here on the coast in Texas with alot of rain. It has been raining steadily since monday evening and hasn't let up yet today very much. I normally do most of my mowing on tuesday, but know i'm not going to be able to do it to day? How soon after it rains alot do you guys get back out there and mow? Is tomorrow out of the question if so I'm mowing on thursday and friday do I still come back and mow the yards next week on tuesday like scheduled?

Thanks for your help

Just get out there and mow it brother . Just use a small walk behind. dont leave any ruts. You might have to make another pass or two to mulch up the clumps. Il even keep on mowing if it starts raining on me (as long as its not pouring) just do a good job and then some, and be dependable a little rain aint gonna hurt ya.

good to see another Gulfcoastcutter on here. im in galveston, just started up 3 months ago. its been raining here like crazy, but i mowed when it let up today, and i got 10 to do tomorrow, just keep on keep'n on.

I quit mowing when it starts raining. unless its just a drizzle, but even then theres a point where the grass gets too wet and dont cut well. If it rains heavy I know which lawn I can cut and which I have to let dry.

I watch guys try to mow all the time in the rain. Leaves a crappy cut and muddy marks all over the driveway. My biggest concern here is lightning. I have had way too many strikes that were close enough to raise the hair on my arms. It just makes for longer days and Sunday cuts. I explain this to my customers up front and haven't had any problems.
