Kawasaki Replacement
I've got a 44" Toro Proline WB which I just picked up used and have some issues.. it's pretty tired so I want to swap out the Kaw and put a new motor on. It's got the single cylinder FB460b-FS08 motor. Anyone know a bolt up solution?
I saw a 13hp Honda http://www.smallenginewarehouse.com/...?PN=GXV390DET3 which you can't beat that price. Any issues that anyone could see? The other option is the Kohler Command http://tewarehouse.com/PA-41582 but for $500 I'd rather get the honda... Thanks for the help... |

I would go with the Kohler. Both of those engines will work though. Another way to go would be a Kawasaki FC420V (OHV). The Kohlers are my favorite though, you will not regret it.

Go with the Kohler... it is an easy bolt on , 1 wire charging system (center wire on the rectifier goes to the harness power wire) Thats the spec # I use. It simplifies the wiring, Black is the power wire, White is the kill wire.
