mower service/repairs

How many of you do your own service and repair work on your equipment ?
Do you know of a forum geared more toward repairs? I have a Toro 23-D reelmaster I am having problems with . Rear reels won't lower . or engage.
Thanks

Try the mechanics and repair section a bit of a ways down,
there's some pretty knowledgeable folks down yonder, here's a link:

I do my own maintenance work. To echo what topsites said, there are some really knowledgeable folks that respond quickly to questions. I have even seen a member offer to give parts to another member. I would much rather try to work through an issue myself than pay $65/hour shop labor. Now the engine rebuilds I leave to the mechanic. Carb work, fluid changes, valve adjustments, etc. I do myself.
