CNH divests Link-Belt

Not sure exactly what this means for Link Belt, as the article says that CNH and Sumitomo still have their supplier agreement. So if LBX is out but the supplier agreement are intact, do the three excavators (NH, Case, LBX) still remain the same?

I doubt the hoes will stay the same. Make me wonder what will happen now that Suhimoto has full control of the design?

The Sumitomo has had full control of the design. I don't think anything will happen. Sumitomo will take over the marketing of Link Belt and market their machine to CASE as well. Perhaps someone will come in and buy Link Belt but given the current state of things thats not real likely right now.

Is CNH just freeing up money with this? I always wondered why they have this deal and Kobelco in the family.

Yah. I mean, they had Kobelco, and NH thatat were Kobleco and Case and LBX from LBX. So the new Case stuff will be Kobleco? I guess they planned the 850 to replace the CX800 and 800LX. if so, this has been a long time coming.
