New Client that won't return calls

I have a new client (picked up from craigslist) that I mowed once. He asked me to call him in about 2 weeks and was interested in every 2 week service. It has been about 2 weeks and 3 days and I just get voice mail when I call. I have left two messages and don't think I will leave more. I hate to lose him because he is my highest paying client. Any suggestions on where I should go from here? I hate to be a pain and leave more messages.

You might try calling one more time. If no reply, then maybe stop by and check on him.

I was thinking I may go by and just leave a business card with a little note to call me when he can.

Was the lawn long the frst mow ? Did he mention he wants to be a regular before you mowed or before you quoted price ? I ask this because maybe he tried to soften you up on price by saying he will be a regular , ive found these tactics are used by 1 off jobs and in short time i been doing this ya gotta learn quick . I could be wrong maybe he was genuine but i wouldnt phone anymore otherwise you will be doing this all the time and stressing , if you left message thats enough , let him chase you.

he used you, either the lawn was high or his mower was broke or something, but you will never hear from him again. had it happen many times over the years. mow it once or twice and get it back into shape then they either find something stupid to complain about or just call and ssay they gonna do it themselves now.

The yard was not in real bad shape. Funny thing, at first he wanted just the front mowed. I talked him into the entire yard but he talked me down on the price. From 80 to 70. The whole estimate meeting was just weird in my opinion. I think voice mail will be all I will leave at this point. If he wants my services, he will call me.

I'm with Clark Lawn on this one.

Guy wanted limited first service and the bi week talk starts ?
You were a temp fix of his needs.
Not responding to you in 2 weeks tells me he's done,
or hoping you will do it one more time before he's long gone.

I may drive out Friday and just leave one of flyers or a business card and call it done. My schedule is full so I will have to really move him to next week anyway. I will get him for an overgrowth charge if he calls back.
