I bought another can of Fluid Film today after I sprayed my tools at the jobsite. I wanted to make sure that I had one in the truck and one at home in the shop. The new can didn't make it home.
I was telling a buddy (an LCO) that trades leads with me, about my results and how the rust started to melt off of my tools last night. He said that he was a WD-40 guy and wanted to know why I would spend more money on FF. While we were talking his daughter (5 year old) came out to be with her daddy. My buddy takes Thursday and Friday's off to be with his little girl. I showed him that Fluid Film had a food grade rating. He knows that I have two sets of tools (marked with different colours of paint). One set for anything that will be coming in contact with water (for irrigation and backflow assembly testing), and one set that will come in contact with grease, oils and anything else that's not water.I asked him if he would ever want to spray WD-40 around his daughter, or her food. His eyes got wide and a look of terror crossed his face. I handed him my new can. Mick |
