Hustler Z ETI problem

I've had my Z (regular Z/25hp/60") a couple months now and the ETI is intermittent. I can cut for two hours and may show an increase of .7, .5, or sometimes nothing at all. I checked for voltage at the plug-in terminals on the back of the ETI with the engine running and with just the key turned on (engine not running) and it has always been zero. There is nothing obvious on a visual inspection. I know I have the warranty to take care of it, I just don't want to be down for this minor problem. It is, however, irritating me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ETI ???
I am assuming you mean hour meter ????
If so, the hour meter will only work when your on the seat.
Check all your connections, and make sure your seat switch is hooked up.
If nothing changes go to your dealer and have them take care of it.

Hope this helps

My apologies. ETI-Elapsed Time Indicator. I've been working on aircraft too long. Haven't checked it while on the seat. I'll do that and see if there is voltage at the indicator. Hopefully it's just a bad meter. Thanks....Joe
