New addition to an old account

I had a lady ask me to cleanup an area of her property that has not been mowed before. It was an area that had an old chicken coop on it years ago but all that is left is the foundation and lots of rocks and other debris. I don't own the equipment to do all the work but I can rent it locally. My question is what to do with the vegetation before working the ground. Should I spray it all down to burn off any unwanted stuff and let it set for a week or so before working the ground or just cut it down, rake it off and then work it. This will be the first of this type of work we will be doing but looking forward to doing this one as an example for more cleanup work.

If you are going to rent equipment, I recommend just getting a skid steer and knock it out in 20 minutes.
