I don't know about the cheap edgers. The last one I bought was $400. Stihl FC95.

Most edgers are not 'cheap', they are usually more expensive than trimmers.
The best cheap edger would be one thats on-sale.

No edger for $200 will stand up to regular commercial use. It will also not have an engine powerful enough to cut through thick overgrown and wet edges. Go to a dealer, not HD or Lowes and pick up a commercial edger. I run all Stihl and use their FC 90 edger. It's not too heavy, leaves an beautiful edge, and cuts through anything. I think i paid $330 or so but you can get one now for about $300 I believe.

I bought two more Kawasaki KEL27A edgers, brand new, on ebay a few weeks back for $230 each, shipped. I have never owned a more powerful edger than these. I don't see any for that kind of price right now, but if you are not in a hurry, it's worth keeping an eye out for them.
