buying or selling a lawn and landscape company

has anyone ever bought or sold their company, and how do you you put a value to a large established company with over 800,000 in annual sales consistently, and many long term contracts?

gross sales is only a small factor in the actual value, you want to be looking at the past years of net profit. The value is a multible of the businesses net profit. Only a lawer can tell you if the current "long term" contracts have any value to (you) should you buy the business.
