I'm sitting here listening to an old Doobie Brothers album on my iPod... The Captain and Me. Diggin' the songs that don't get (probably never got much) airplay, even on the Classic Rock stations.

Speaking of old rockers. The funniest thing I've been reading is this site on soccer and culture. Read this tome on Mick Jagger Angel of Death.

Anybody heard from our NM smoker friend? Made some of the most creative smokers I've ever seen. If you are peeking check out these sites.

I've got some regular hot dogs and burgers, couple different kinds of brats, and I've got two slabs of ribs in the fridge with a dry rub on them right now. Mix of brown sugar, cayenne pepper, smokey paprika, garlic powder, dry mustard, pepper, and smokey sea salt. Getting ready to shuck some corn on the cob, and make some fresh guacamole. Baked beans in the crock pot (GF making this one). Already made a pasta salad, artichoke dip with roasted green chiles, iced tea.
Will update on the ribs tomorrow, as I am not the expert on grilling ribs yet. Eating some mushroom, bacon, shallot, quiche that the GF made last night. |

I got my butts rubbed and on the grill at 220*...they smell good!! No smoke, just heat. I would normally put my smoker box in but didn't want to mess with it. I anticipate them being done around 6pm...oh the wait. I did not have all the ingredients for Fimcos rub, but I did have what I needed for one that I normally use. I have enough on the grill that I won't be cooking tomorrow.
