I vaguely remember those... and if I recall correctly they kinda "double-popped up" just like the MP Rotators do. Only saw them at trade shows and in catalogs.

I sure wish I knew who I'm supposed to be a rep for because I sure don't see any checks coming in from anybody for pushing their products!

The description of that patent in question reads like the work of Ed Hunter.

"In my prior Pat. No. 3,854,664, issued Dec. 17, 1974, and, entitled "SPRINKLER SYSTEMS".......

No Hunter yet at the store near me. They did have endcaps of both Toro and Orbit (with brass nozzles included).

BTW, I was at Home Depot again yesterday and saw in the sprinklers aisle pre-nozzled 1804s, rotary nozzles and other Rain Bird products right next to the Hunter, Toro and Orbit stuff... (no end cap though)..

There was a couple discussing the merits of orbit vs. Toro pop-ups and I had to butt in.. I suggested the 1804s... and she replied..."Oh no, I've always had bad luck with Rain Bird, these Toros are really the best". I watched as they couldn't find Toro 360s in a 4", and decided on the 3" Orbits with the adjustable Hunter style VAN nozzles instead.

I bit my tongue and wished them good luck with their project.

I did find an interesting Orbit sprinkler tool that for $11 I just had to try out... I'll see how it works.
