RainBird Academy
Has anyone attended the RainBird Academy? Is it worth it?

To answer your question..... Yes. I sent all 4 of our irrigation techs to the troubleshooting class last year and they all said they learned a lot. I think it was a good thing for all of them. They covered the 521 locator and the ground fault locator as well. I felt that it was worth the cash and the two days of their time.

I've had great success with the seminars from Ewing, and in the past JDL or UGM. Learned some things with the 521 and GFL as well. Some seminars are free, some are minimal cost.

I took the technician class several years ago. If I remember right, it was 2 days and costs 400. Lots of info in a short period of time, hard to digest it all. Kinda hard to learn about a controller in 30 minutes.
I would not recommend the classes due to the high costs. Ask you local supplier about free classes, or team up with a local company. Posted via Mobile Device |
