Are You Using A Pad Under The Compactor?
Hey folks,
When dealing with flat tumbled stones like Brussels Block do you find yourself still using a pad under the compactor (in the final stages) to prevent chipping and scuffing the stone? Obviously with some stones it's necessary, but how about with these type? I'm just thinking that if any stone is 1/8" higher than one next to it, does it run the risk of getting chipped or damaged? Thanks! |

We use Brussels all the time and NEVER use a pad under our gas tamper. They very rarely chip, sometimes you'll get a corner chip after tamping for awhile but it never breaks a brick completely.
