NEW Yard Farmers LLC pic thread 2010

Ok guys, I decided to re-do this because my last thread was sorta jumbled.

I provide full service Lawn, Landscape, Spraying, and Light Excavation. I just turned 20, and started out when I was 15 driving a tractor around town bush hogging lots and fields. It grew from there. I currently take care of the 200 acre family farm with my dad, plus my own 100 acre lease farm I lease from an elderly couple to run my cows on. Here's the equipment, job pics will follow.
I have no partners nor backers, I just spend all my money on more tools lol. During peak season I keep about 8 employees full time.

The backhoe is not mine, I use it under contract for the city. In this case though I was hauling it to the shop for brake work. Its a 420D cat with extend-a-hoe. It weighs 24,500 plus. That is my trailer though =)

Just sold this one not long ago.

My ugly little hoe. Its about to get a paint job lol.

Bad Boy 28 hp Cat 60"

F700 and old mustang loader. 25' pintle hitch 12 ton trailer.

My 2006 Cat 267B on rubber tracks with cab, heat, air. My 1997 F250 with 140 HP wildman chip, and too many other goodies to list.

Old massey backup tractor

285 Massey loader tractor

Also not pictured is my yard 255 massey used for harley raking yards.

Geez I miss this old tractor. Used mainly for bushogging rough ground with either a 9 foot hog or a batwing.

Just found these. Back in the winter we dug the footer for this wall, sub contracted the pouring, and then the owner decided he wanted the dirt bank cut back and made less steep, then fabric it, and put down the big rock. With the wall already being in, we had to hand move all the rock under the deck. This vacation cabin has a four-story deck on back.

I took out all the landscaping inside the wall shown in the last pic. I built a dirt bridge over where the entrance is and drove the bobcat into the tight area, turned it, and dumped dirt over the back of the wall to backfill. We then took the rock in. It was so steep back there that the job had to be done while the ground was frozen, to keep from sliding over the bluff even on the tracked machine.

You probably don't sleep much, do you? Good for you though, looks like you've built yourself a good business. Keep up the good work. I LOVE you '97 F250 extended cab. I definitely want a truck like that someday.

I have to sleep 6 hours per night now, according to my neurologist. Any less, and I am more likely to have more seizures. But earlier this year I was just getting about 3-4 hours. I don't like sleeping cause I get less done haha. I was getting up at 5 and going to the gym and then working till nine or ten, then doing paperwork and stuff till 1 or 2 AM. I had to stop.

Thanks for the complement on the truck, I love it. Bought it when I was 16.

Impressive company for being 20 years old. What type of cows do you keep on the 100 acres?

Angus and Chiangus, all registered. I owe my whole business roots to my grandpa really (and of course God blesses me beyond measure). When I was 3, and my brother was 10 he gave us two heifers, and it grew from there. I sold half of them last year, and still have 20 of my own. They have given me the capital to get loans through the Farm Service Agency and Farm Credit to buy what I have.

And more pics are coming. We are about to re-seal a pond, and it covers over 1/2 an acre. It has to get 15 loads of good clay to line it, and a bunch of sodium bentonite to help seal it off to stop the leaks. (we did not dig it)

All but the pressure washing photo is from the 12 acre apartment complex I do maintenance and mowing for. We installed new pole lights, fixed a drainage ditch, and excavated beside sidewalks and lined up a pump truck and pumped concrete underneath because of erosion. We corrected all the drain problems. Went around all the curbs a and filled in the gaps between the yard and curbs.
