My new whip

I bought a four wheeler- not for play but to mount my new A-1 Mistblower with the honda motor. It is a little awkward riding around a yard at 7-8mph and blowing 35feet. I bought a different head to shoot taller and wider, my other volute shoots 75ft. I still have to use the backpack because this thing is only good on larger areas, spraying around pools or terraced areas etc.. One thing i have to check into is if you can get turf tires for a polaris 4 wheeler, the knobby tires are a little too agressive.

I also plan on putting this to work towing a bluebird for aerations.

On a side note I was going to buy a unit from Big John Mfg. however the sales person blew me off when I was asking questions about capacity and cubic feet per min to do a comparison. The guys over at A-1 were easy to deal with, I had spoken to the owner a few times, and they shipped it when they said and it was packaged well.

I am into the mist blower for around $3000 with shipping and 2 volutes, you bet I won't be flying around on it, in the fall after it comes off-thats a dif story...

Sweet! This has possibilities. Can your tow a spreader. Better yet mount a spreader on the front? If it has a good battery, you can mount an electric pump about like the Z-spray pump.

I believe Riggle post is for same reason I am posting now. We both are seeing a expensive Equipment investment and looking to get the most ROI Return On Investment for that equipment. Here in Florida there might be some Citrus spraying market in the smaller groves. But I am wondering if Christmas trees farms in your area might be a market for this equipment. I am realize Xmas Trees work might not be enough to justify buying this equipment but you already own it. Finding Nitch Markets can be very profitable. It is the Businessman who thinks Out Side the Box that gets a Head.

I actually bought it to maximize my time and be more efficient. The way i can justify it is to equate it to mowing lawns with only a 21" walk behind at some point you need to go big. I was tapped out on what I can do walking with my mist blower, I have a lot of big property to do, 2-5 acre lots. This makes quick time, plus I don't have to fill up as much. I really appreciate it on the hot days high 80-90 with full face mask and long sleeve shirts. As far as aeration I could tow an aerator, but I can do that with my z spray as well.

You might want to mount the tank on the back and pump on the front. I know with my 4-wheeler it is hard to turn with lots of weight over the front wheels... especially at low speed and on nice turf. just my 2 cents.

This may be a stupid question, but I am not familiar with the mist blower, other than for mosquito spraying. Is that what you are mianly using this for, or do you fungicides and other insecticides with it as well? Just curious. Looks like a sweet set up.

I have turf tires on order, I would rather have the spray at my back instead of blowing on me at the front, especially when turning into it.
