Anyone have a B-30B Vibratory Plow

Looking at buying a B-30B Vibratory Plow locally. Just wanted to get some reviews from anyone who might have one.

They are good machines , until you need a part , the company was sold and they are no longer making the machine. Find a good mechanic that can make or adapt parts . Parts are available for hatz diesels , expensive , but available .

Burkeen Manufacturing went bankrupt, they were not sold. New owner and resurected as Burkeen Corporation. The first new B-30B is being constructed right now. New machines will be available for sale within the next 30-60 days. New machines will be 99.9% th same as older machines, so parts will not be a problem.

Talk to the guy selling the machine, and mention that Burkeen Manufacturing went out of business. Tell him that you won't be able to get parts from them. (Not a Lie) See if the price comes down.

Just spoke to him again. He said he just got the machine back from Vemeer Mid Atlantic, who did a full service, fluid, filters, few small components, u-join, sprocket for trencher, new tires all around, and a new paint job.

Machine had 400+ hours when it went to vermeer but had 800 when he got it back. He has pictures of the hour meter when it went in. Supposedly vermeer had the unit for about 2 months.

Unit plus a brand new tilt trailer. He's asking $10500.
Comes with 3 bullets, one is a double, comes with 3 different size blades, couple trenching shovels, 30' of boring rods. Its not a bad looking setup. Just want to be sure the machine is sound, and looking for some performance feedback too.

if you are talking about the machine on craigs list , its not a b30b its a regular b30 , which basically means the machine is much, much , older . If its the same machine , he started at 15 grand . The b30 came out in the late 1970s , to early eighties . B30b was painted white , b30 was brown . B30 has a round muffler , b30 b has a square

Thanks for the info. I didnt know it was listed before. I either didnt see it or didnt care to, due to the price.

THe price now at 10,500 doesnt seem too bad I suppose, considering, the trailer is probably atleast 3k if not 4k. Im going to check on parts availability tomorrow. We ran the machine up this eve and it starts and runs without any problems. I need something thats affordable and will allow us to do installs much faster than trenching. The vib plow attachment for our boxer is 6700 alone. But I dont want someone elses painted turd either.
