Hoover monitoring system - $27,000 - $125 flow monitor failure priceless

I lost the bid for this installation, they spend spend $27,000 on a top of the line Hoover pump & monitoring system $12,000 more than my bid... (the suit made the difference) and when a $125.00 part fails it costs....

I just love when stuff breaks...

Guess who fixed it

Even more hysterical; this sytem took a lghtning strike; does the worf fu...ed mean anything?

Hoover started @ $165 an hour... guess who replaced the system and got the maintenance to boot?

Just goes to show you, money is not always the answer. I'll admit some systems are out of my league, but this one...

it's a loss of prime; the water in the volute steamed off on blew the pipe up like a frigging mushroom before the victrolic fillting gave way and vented the pressure.

Here you go... expensive BS for a relatively small system. "Hot Stop" would have prevented the damage.

Note the wiring block is melted from the lightning strike. Do have to say, the system protected itself pretty well from the strike considering evrything else got totally fried, even the coils about 1 mile from the pump station.
