Hour and a quarter, probably 45 mins left, maybe an hour. Easier to pull single plants that are spread out, than the ones that are all clustered together.

Looks much better, good work and you are keeping with your organic effort which is commendable. With an area that size, you should be able to get that stand of grass looking great fairly easily.

Rich - spent a fair bit of time and energy at my father-in-law's last weekend correcting a pretty considerable weed problem which includes crabgrass and quite a few other variety of weeds. More work ahead for certain.

Plan on pulling a good portion of it, probably using Q4 on the rest, then reseeding. Any other better alternatives? We've had a rash of CG here, I guess the weather didn't help. And a few of our clients we picked up mid season, no pre-ems.

I hate to say this but it's probably coming right back, all crabgrass needs to
germinate is direct sunlight and bare spots are just the ticket.

That having been said I fight the stuff every year, too.

That stuff is a trick, mix it too light and it does nothing, mix it too heavy and it kills everything,
the ratios are close and then when I do get the mix right (which is most of the time) it kills the
crabgrass leaving a bare spot, and guess what comes right back?
Not a month's time it's all back, more often than not with a vengeance.

And I do re-seed every year, 50 pounds per quarter acre minimum.
Summer comes around, the sun and the heat murder the lawn, crabgrass starts and so does the party.

Serious pita, that stuff.
