Why on earth does a water-starved Florida have to waste water on growing sugar cane?

methinks the Lykes brothers are firmly attached to the federal teat - and their cattle operations are supposedly doing the Kissimee River a world of hurt.

... sugar is heavily subsidized... the land does not rest nor is the crop rotated. It's grown & harvested 365 days a year... the land is loaded with chemical fertilizer & it's run off makes the BS the Lykes herd leave in the Kissimee river look like a pygmy turd in the ocean.

But I get to pay 4X more for less water than I did 3 years ago and I'm looking foward ro a 9% property tax increase so those fat, bloated, overpaid, lazy, ignorant and incompetent "public servants' can maintain an income that is 130% of comparable private sector not including benefits.

I need a cup of tea... is anybody having a tea party?

Heck anyone who lives within 25 miles of a coast line should be getting 100% of their water from the ocean

Another Option....grey water it works in florida...

PBC is busy running grey water lines from their turd herder facilities; but it costs more than city once you pay them to run the line to your property. Soon enough it'll be mandatory and we'll get slam dunked again even if do irrigate with well water.
