I've repaired valves that had glue covering the solenoid discharge port.
Years ago I worked on a brand new "wet flying thing" EV valve where the solenoid discharge port wasn't even drilled through.

Solenoid ports are an extra-cost option on "wet flying thing" valves. Didn't you know that?
