Sometimes people look down on me, sometimes they look up to me! Either way, why should I care, when I have my work to do, and my life to live. Sure the $$$.$$ are a big part of life, but it is not a contest, and if it is, then the guy who has the most fun wins. The guy with the most toys comes in second.
Look down on me all you want, but if a customer talks down to me, then they will be in the market for a new service provider, and no further words will be needed.

yeah who cares?...i mean to me it's more about the freedom of working for myself rather than working at a company...working for myself i can work at my own pace and decide when enough is enough and decide to do the work i want to do...when you work for a company you have to do whatever they say and do it how they say to do it

I think there are some people who look down on what I do, but not many (if any) of my customers look down on me. For the people who do look down on my job, I don't think they realize that my mower costs as much as their car or that I actually do make a good living (even doing this part time).
I personally don't care if someone looks down on my profession.
